Supper Buffet

This place is next to Krolls and is a cool Chinese place.

Atmosphere-3

Supper Buffet is, as the name says, a Chinese Buffet. Inside the tables and chairs are really nice. A plus for me is that the bathrooms are nice as well. The Chinese decor makes the experience.

Service-2

I don’t really like to rate buffets high on the service category, because honestly, they don’t really do much. Also, they ran out of rice…. which is my favorite.

Variety-4

They had pizza, rice, chicken, sushi, a grill. Anything that you would want, they had there

Taste-4

All the food was warm and tasty. I love the rice. One knock against them is the fact that they serve Pepsi and not Coke, but that’s just my preference 😛

King House Buffet

After wondering around in the freezing cold, my friends and I decided to go to King House Buffet.

Atmosphere-4

The inside of the restaurant was really cool. They had nice looking decorations, with a fish pond right when you walk in the door. I liked that they had a section in the middle that was elevated. It was different from other restaurant layouts, and I liked that about them. Really their only downfall is the bathrooms, they were small and didn’t match the rest of their place.

Service-3

Nothing outstanding. Because it is a buffet, nobody really came and served us. Sometimes someone would come and remove our plates.

Variety-4

They had a lot of different food options. Salad, rice, chicken, rolls, garlic bread, fruit. King House had a lot of choices.

Taste-4

I was very satisfied. The food was tasty, warm, and present when I went to the buffet to grab some food.

Hu Hot

So lately I have been thinking about one of my favorite restaurants in the Fargo Moorhead area. That restaurant happens to be the Hu Hot right along 45th in Fargo. Since I have been thinking about it recently I decided to write a little review on the place.

Atmosphere – 4/5

Hu Hot has a great atmosphere that is both fun and inviting. It’s a nice place to go to dinner with the family our for a little outing with your best friends. It’s colorful, creative, artsy, and homey all at the same time. Just take a look for yourself.

Service – 4/5

The service at Hu Hot is delightful. The hostesses are nice and inviting while the servers are quick to make sure everything is going ok and that everyone has received there requested drinks. Also they refill your drinks in a timely manner.

Variety – 5/5

The variety at Hu Hot is outstanding. The way it works is you grab a bowl, fill it with any of the desired meats, then top it with your choices of 4 different types of noodles, move along to the host of veggies, fruits, and other add in’s, and finally pick from a huge variety of sauces to tailor your dish to your desired taste. 

Taste – ?/5

I put the taste at a ? out of 5 for a few reasons. Making your dishes is really sort of an experiment unless you follow one of the meal cards provided at the tables. So when just winging it you can come out with some really splendid dishes or you can come out with some really gross ones to. There have been a couple that I made that I just couldn’t eat. But that aside every dish that I have finished has been fresh, sweet, savory, and down-right delightful.

Osaka- Sushi and Hibachi

My roommate decided that for her birthday dinner she wanted to go to a Japanese restaurant so she could get her sushi fill. So we went to Osaka.

Atmosphere-4

I really like the atmosphere. The restaurant had an elegant feel and there were many Asian decorations that added to the feel of the restaurant. Plus their booths were really comfy. This might be the nerd in me, but I loved the dishes that they served the food on. They were so hip, I geeked out over the dishes.

Service-5

Everyone was very eager to help and always there to fill up our waters or to take dishes away. They did a great job of seeing if we were ok, but also making sure they weren’t disrupting the meal.

Variety-4

They had a lot of different things to choose from. They had sushi, and chicken, and soup. Plenty of options for their guests to choose from.

Taste-4

The quality of the food was great. The rice was yummy and my chicken teriayki was great. 

It’s super……The Super Buffet!

I visited the Super Buffet in Fargo last night and now I’m here, still full, to tell you about my experience.

Atmosphere – 3/5

The atmosphere at the Super Buffet was nothing special. It’s what you would expect from a buffet style restaurant. They had Asian themed decorations on the walls and a few TV’s in the corner running shows that most people would be interested in. Overall it’s a pleasant place to indulge in some good Chinese food.

Service – 4/5

The hostesses, who happen to also be servers, are very friendly and always bring you drink refills in a very timely manner. They also do a good job clearing your empty plates from your table leaving more room for even more empty plates. It is a buffet after all.

Variety – 3/5

They had a good selection of things to pick from the buffet as well as a Mongolian grill buffet and a sushi bar. Compared to other Chinese buffets in the area I would say they are  in the middle with just the right amount of options to choose from without skimping on anything.

Taste – 3/5

All the items I choose to put on my plate and bring back to the table had satisfactory taste with nothing being cold or tasting bland. Once again when it comes to comparing the Super Buffet to other Chinese buffets in the area they don’t come out on top but they most certainly don’t come out on bottom. They are more like the happy middle where you can go and enjoy some good tasting, fill me up, Chinese food.

Godfather’s Pizza Review

I went to Godfather’s Pizza in Fargo. We had the pizza buffet during lunch times.

Atmosphere-4

I walked into the little pizza shop and I was really impressed. I like the atmosphere a lot. They had a little kiddy arcade with a candy claw machine. It was nice, the booths were comfy and big enough to fit two people and still have space between you.

Service-3

I’m pretty sure that there was a group of teenage girls doing a fundraiser for their dance team, because they came and asked for our plates. The dance team girls did a very good job at making sure we were OK.

Variety-3

They had a lot of option on their buffet, but compared to other pizza buffets it wasn’t as great as it could have been. Plus the fact that they didn’t have marinara sauce for my cheese sticks made me a little upset as well.

Taste-3

It was fine. I wasn’t really that impressed. I don’t really feel a need to go there again, I would be fine with just a frozen pizza. Again, the fact they didn’t have marinara sauce, at all, for their cheese sticks hurt their taste score. 😛

Pizza Ranch

Pizza Ranch, the place that was made for people who love to listen to country music. I went to the Pizza Ranch just off of 45th street.

Atmosphere-4

As cheesy as it is, they are really dedicated to there “country” roots. All of the decorations are country inspired and it looks like things that you would find on a ranch.

Service-3

I had the buffet. So there wasn’t a whole bunch of service, people were very dedicated about walking around and seeing if anyone needed to have their plates taken off of their table, but other than that they leave you alone… which I really don’t mind that much. Plus they are always willing to put your favorite pizza on the buffet if it isn’t already.

Variety-3

They are a pizza place so they serve a lot of pizza. They have lots of different types of pizza. They even have chicken and mashed potatoes.

Taste-3

I absolutely love the cheesy sticks. They are the best thing there. People also freak out about their chicken, so that is pretty good too. I think the pizza is pretty basic.

All in all, it was a pretty good time.

Drunken Noodle

Hey everybody and happy Monday to ya! Hopefully you’re all rested up from Thanksgiving and crazy Black Friday shopping, and now are relaxing somewhere comfy doing all your Cyber Monday shopping. On another notwe i come to you today to talk about noodles. More specifically the Drunken Noodle in Downtown Fargo.

Atmosphere – 1/5

The Drunken Noodle is in an older building in Downtown Fargo….and it shows. When you walk in the place feels a little dingy and grungy and it almost makes you want to turn around and walk back out the door. The furniture looks and feels recycled and it isn’t very comfortable. Overall i really wasn’t impressed with the atmosphere.

Service – 3/5

The service wasn’t anything special or out of the ordinary. The hosts were friendly and explained the menu and some of the dishes to us. The servers brought us our food in a timely manner and made sure that we had everything we ordered and needed.

Variety – 3/5

The Drunken Noodles menu consists of 18 dishes which range from Asian style dishes to Modern American style dishes. There is good variety throughout the dishes and i think anyone would be pleased with the choices. After-all having a smaller menu isn’t always a bad thing.

Taste – 4/5

On my visit to the Drunken Noodle I choose to partake in the Pad Thai, partially for the fact I love any type of Asian or Oriental cuisine. The dish filled the plate, had very good flavor, and after it was all said and done I was full. I give the taste a 4 out of 5 on the grounds that I only had one dish and that the dish was one I favorite at a local Thai food joint in my hometown, and there Pad Thai is to die for.

Altony’s

I went to Altony’s on HWY 10 in Moorhead.

Atmosphere-3

Altony’s is in an old Taco Bell building, so it’s really small. Other than that the atmosphere is wonderful. They had fancy tables and a bar area, for the space they had to work with it was lovely. I really liked the vibe they were giving off.

Service-4

The service was great. The waitress checked on us on appropriate times, and was really nice.

Variety-3

I don’t remember there being tons of different choices. But I don’t remember a lack of choices either 😛

Taste-5

The food was great! Plus ice cream comes with your meal 😀 I would seriously recommend this place to anyone, it was fabulous.

JL beers

So I went to JL beers this weekend.

Atmosphere-2

So this is my deal with bars…. I don’t really like them, because they are loud and crowded. Some people are really into that, but I just can’t get into it. So it’s crowded and loud.

Service-4

The servers were definitely nice people. They helped you in a timely manner and got the order correct. They did a good job

Variety-2

They have beer and burgers… nothing else. So if you are gonna check that place out, be in the mood for a burger.

Taste-4

The burger was delicious. We also had these chips things and they were pretty good. I liked the food. Apparently you can call in and then pick up your order, so if you aren’t into the bar scene I would recommend doing that because then you could still have their good food.
